In Someone Else's Home

music: "Songs My Mother Taught Me" Slovak Chamber Orchestra

I'm staying with some friends right now, and this is their hallway. What an odd thing it is, to explore someone else's hallway.

Pacing

"Pacing" today for two reasons:
1. My family has been pacing back and forth while waiting for my brother, Phil, to come out of a long surgery. While I was filming this, Mom was at the hospital, and Dad and I were home trying to stay occupied, but also ready on call.
2. My life pacing has been disrupted this week. I'm in the middle of an awkward chunk of time that has slowed down drastically compared to the hustle and bustle that was my last semester. Today, I experienced boredom.. or perhaps leisure.. how foreign.. or an interlude between big life events that kind of feels like waiting. The result: this little video.

Sit back, relax, and get acquainted with my feet, stairs, and driveway.

Includes "(San Fransisco)" by Rupa & the April Fishes from an album I got from one of my favorite teachers in Italy, Giorgio Rossi.

And by the way, just as this finished uploading, we got a call. Phil is out of surgery and it went well!

Leaving

Music: "Birthday Song" by Noyce

Two days ago, I graduated from Muhlenberg College. Now, I am back in my back yard, with the leaves.

I'd like to think
that I have true roots
that I can uncoil upwards
branching my veins
just like the fern.

Note to self: bug spray.

PS: Don't mind the gauze taped to my arm. It's covering up poison ivy.
